There is so much to that goes into great body art and it starts and ends with you. Taking care of your skin can make all the difference.
I come to your appointment showered, clean clothes, and teeth brushed so that you do not have to smell body odors that aren't your own. I ask that you do the same for our comfort and the cleanliness of of your tattoo. It’s common courtesy for the people you’re going to be in close quarters with and it’s good for your hygiene, too.
You will be turned away and your deposit will be forfeited if you do not present a valid ID.
No children (anyone under the age of 16) are allowed in the shop. Please plan accordingly.
One guest is allowed in the area with you. Anyone else would have to wait in the waiting area.
Make sure to eat a filling and nutritious meal beforehand.
Light-colored clothes may get stained. Please no tight-fitting clothes near the area to be tattooed.
This allows time for unforeseen travel delays but also the design to be finalized and the stencil to be applied.
Alcohol thins the blood. Therefore you bleed more and there is a higher chance of your skin pushing the pigment out causing premature fading. The deposit will be forfeit and you will be turned away if you or anyone in your party shows up intoxicated.
Feel free to bring a phone, handheld game, or something to keep you entertained. As long as you can be still while doing it, bring it with you!
I take all major forms of payment.
Keeping the area to be worked on from drying out is essitial so that there are no flakes of skin shedding, getting in the way during the procedure. The skin also behaves and takes ink better when moisturized.
If you are going to be outside you must protect the area that will be worked on from the sun. By Arkansas state law I cannot tattoo over a sunburn.
For Tattoos & Brows: Exfoliate however you prefer. Try to do this really well at least once the week of your appointment.
For Lips: To exfoliate them, brushing your lips when you brush your teeth will do.
Scalp: Use a scalp scrubbing brush, or your fingers if you don't have time to get one and do a thorough cleaning of your scalp in the shower when you're shampooing. This is recommended the week of your appointment.
I cannot work over acne. Keeping your skin exfoliated and clean will help prevent those pesky acne bumps from appearing prior to your appointment.
It is recommended to stop using products with these ingredients for at least a week or two before your appointment to help premature fading. Retinoids pull pigment out of the skin.
For permanent Cosmetics: For two weeks prior to the appointment, you must not have had these procedures done. (6 weeks for lips!)
